International Women’s Day networking event
What happens when a woman takes power?
6th March 2024, Cadogan Hall, London, UK, 6pm
What happens when a woman takes power?
What happens when she won’t back down?
What happens when you get a group of amazing women together to celebrate International Women’s Day and discuss the nuances of the word Empower at a concert promoting the music of female composers?
Hopefully amazing things happen!
Join me…
This International Women’s’ Day join me (Laura Cloke) for an evening of networking and song in conjunction with Vox Anima London. The concert features the world premiere of EM[POWER]? by composer Hannah Rice which explores the word Empower and how it becomes meaningless without having access to real power through equal pay and equal representation in government.
The event…
At the pre-concert networking event Hannah and Laura will discuss the words behind her piece and encourage you all to think about what it means to be empowered in the workplace and how you can share the power with other women. You will meet a group of brilliant women before heading into the concert hall to listen to an exciting programme of music, inspired by women.
The Concert…
There will be a performance from the Amies Freedom Choir, which is made up of young women who have survived trafficking. The programme will end with the powerful piece What Happens When a Woman by Alexandra Olsavsky which is a call to all women to take up space in the world. You will leave the concert wanting to take over the world.
